5 Tips to Awaken Your Inner Wisdom and Find your Soul’s Purpose

As an intuitive mindset coach, it’s my greatest passion to guide and support other women as they step into their power and discover their soul’s purpose!

A lot of women in my audience come to me saying things like, “Ashley, I feel so stuck and unhappy with where I’m at” or or “I have huge life goals and dreams, but I second-guess myself and have self-doubt” or “I’ve spent so long trying to be everything for everybody else that now I don’t even know who I am or what I want!”

Can you relate to any of those questions? I know I definitely have!

I know what it’s like to want successful and abundant life, but feel confused and unsure in the process.

My path definitely hasn’t been linear.. and I’m here to remind you that that’s ok!

So if you’re a woman who is on a path towards self-discovery, learning to trust her intuition, and wanting to find her purpose.. I wrote this article for YOU.

1. Follow what lights you up

What do you love to do? What brings you energy, excitement, and passion? What type of activities make you feel fully alive? Start creating a list of every single thing you can think of. Even if it doesn’t necessarily lend itself to a particular career path, write it down because it’ll help get your creativity flowing.

Some things on my list, for example, include: Singing, being outside, creating art, being at the beach, hiking mountains, having deep conversations, helping others, writing, and sharing lessons from my life

I truly believe that following what lights you up is key in getting you closer to your life calling and soul’s purpose.

It’s been so true in my life. By continuing to follow what lights me up, I’ve discovered so many new things about myself which has helped me find my soul’s purpose as a mindset coach.

As a child, I loved to sing and wanted to grow up to be a famous singer. At another point, as I found my love for reading and writing, I wanted to be an author. As I continued to follow what I loved, I continued to discover more strengths of mine.

In college, I took classes on music therapy, art therapy, psychology, sociology, and holistic wellness. I continued to dive into areas that made me feel excited and happy. Somewhere along the way, I decided to start a blog and one step led to another.. today I’m a mindset coach helping women from all over the world transform their mindset and life!

I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t followed what lit me up each step along the way.

2. Learn to trust that inner-whisper

Learn to follow that nudge, that whisper, and that feeling in your gut otherwise known as your intuition.

I think it’s true that many times we know, intuitively, what it is we desire in our lives. But we might think thoughts like, “Well, that’s not realistic or possible for me” or “I could never do that”.

Our inner-critics can step in and cause us to experience anxiety, overthinking, self-judgement.

Think about and journal on this question: If you did know the answer, what would you know?

3. Practice Mindfulness

I’m obsessed with learning to live a more mindful life! It’s a topic I love to teach to my clients on because I think we could all benefit from slowing down once in a while and looking inward sometimes.

Mindfulness is the art of being in the here-and-now. It’s using the five senses to anchor into the present moment. My favorite way to practice mindfulness is by pausing, taking several deep breaths, and tuning into how my body feels.

So often, we move through our days on auto-pilot without really bringing awareness to our feelings and thoughts. Mindfulness encourages us to slow down, pay attention to our bodies & minds, and take intentional action. Mindfulness has really helped calm my anxiety and take action from a place of love each and every day.

4. Keep your blinders on

This tip has been HUGE for me as I’ve continued to follow my heart and find my purpose. I know how easy it can be to get caught up in what everyone else is doing with their lives.

When I first started my blog, I was so consumed with what everyone else was doing. I thought that if I was going to be successful, I had to do things like everyone else.

The more I’ve connected with my intuition, the more I’ve realized the importance of doing things my own way.

So try your best to stop comparing yourself to others and trust that you have all of the answers you need within! You just need a little practice getting in touch with your inner-world.

5. Start a journal practice

I’m a huge journal-lover and have been doing it since I was really young. Journaling has always been such a beautiful creative outlet for me and an amazing way to connect to my intuition.

Anytime I feel overwhelmed, I love sitting down with my journal and doing a brain-dump, which is a method of journaling I teach inside my journal e-bundle, Journaling Your Way to Clarity.

A brain-dump is basically just sitting down with a notebook and letting all of your thoughts and feelings pour out of you. It’s a great chance to vent about things that are bothering you, write a to-do list, process uncomfortable feelings, and write out your hopes and dreams.

There’s something really powerful about getting the words in your head out onto paper! Everything just feels so much easier to manage once it’s on paper.

If you’re a woman ready to dive deeper into her journal practice, I think you’ll love the bundle I created on journaling.
