1. Keep a Dream Journal

Keeping a dream journal is a great way to reflect on your dreams and what may be going on in the subconscious part of your brain. Over time, you may see patterns and themes in your dreams which can bring you to greater self-awareness. Each morning, take a few minutes to write down your dreams.

2. Drink a large glass of water

We all know the important benefits of staying hydrated, and often it’s hard to drink enough water throughout the day. By starting your day off with a lot of water, you’re off to a great start. It’ll help your skin and hair stay hydrated, help prevent sickness, and improve your energy!

3. Gentle Stretching

Starting your day off with some gentle stretching is a great way to activate your muscles that have been resting all night. Grab a foam roller or a yoga mat and stretch it all out! This will awaken each part of your body, prevent injury, and release those feel-good chemicals in your brain!

Eating a healthy breakfast kicks starts your metabolism and gives you the energy you need to tackle the day. I love including fruits, veggies, and grains in my breakfast. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day!

17. Repeat positive affirmations

As you go about your morning routine, practice saying positive affirmations. Some examples are, “I am strong and capable.” “All of my dreams are coming true.” “I am attracting abundance and love into my life.” These sentences are powerful and will help you feel more empowered in your daily life.

18. Share positivity with someone else

Send a good morning text or call to someone else! Meet up with a friend for coffee. Write a little love note for your significant other. Connect with an old friend, or maybe your spouse or family member. Sharing a little love and support for someone else can make you both feel good and start both of your days off right.

19. Set an intention for the day

What’s the most important thing you want to focus on for the day? Maybe it’s being kinder to yourself. Maybe it’s doing more for others. Maybe it’s slowing down and finding more moments to be present. Decide on an intention for the day and remind yourself of it throughout the day.

Reading a inspirational book is always a great option to relax, get focused, and get inspired. Challenge yourself to read a few pages or a chapter or two. It is a great way to awaken your mind and inspire you first thing in the morning. If you don’t have time for a book, listen to a podcast!
